About

Learn how to shoot and edit with the one camera everyone has on them all the time - their smartphone. There has never been a better time to be a creator because you literally have a movie studio in your pocket.

In this camp, we’ll learn different techniques to get professional-looking video out of a mobile device. We will cover lighting, cinematic camera angles, sound, camera movements, basic editing, and more. We will put all of the skills together to replicate a scene from a movie or television show.

  • For students ages 12-18.
  • Skill Level: Beginner
  • Registration closes Monday, July 3.
  • There is a $20 materials fee included in the cost of the class.

Details

Students need to bring a smartphone (iPhone or Android)

Project

Students will make a film of two or fewer minutes - on either their own theme or one chosen by the class.

        Brianna Torres

        Brianna Torres is an award-winning filmmaker from the Sonoran Desert. She arrived on Bainbridge Island via Los Angeles where she worked in film and television. As the Media Arts Programming Coordinator, she is excited about bringing in quality classes for the community. Her favorite pastimes include running on forest trails, working as a floral designer and exploring with her family.
