About

Snacking culture in Taiwan is renowned. If you've never had a chance to visit Taiwan, you're missing out on a lot of great xiao chi ("small eats").

Explore some of the instructor's family favorites:

  • Bubble/boba/pearl milk tea: Milk tea with brown sugar tapioca balls.
  • Cong you bing (scallion pancakes): Learn a technique for creating layers in these crispy and chewy savory pancakes.
  • Spicy chili wontons: Learn to wrap pork wontons and craft your own spicy dressing.
  • Fan tuan (sticky rice roll): Sticky rice wrapped around an egg omelet, pork floss, and a fried donut (the true breakfast of champions).
  • Smashed cucumber salad: Simple and refreshing, you may start smashing all of your vegetables1
