About

Greek for "description," ekphrasis engages artworks through the imaginative act of deep reflection and speculation to create an entirely new form. 

We will look at ekphrastic poetry by renowned poets and create works of our own. Please bring two images of your favorite painting, sculpture or other visual art to inspire your poems.

Writers at any stage of their journey are welcome and will enjoy this unique way to celebrate National Poetry Month.

Class Policies

  • Ages 14 and up are welcome.
