This is a workshop open to those interested in becoming Monitors for the Welding Studio. It is a familiarization and practice session so that prospective Monitors are comfortable with the range and use of equipment in the Welding Studio. Training will be provided in safety protocols and Welding Studio operating procedures.

Prospective monitors should be safety conscious BARN members and sufficiently skilled welders to be able to assist open studio participants who have undertaken welding classes and are developing their skills. Prospective monitors need not be skilled or practiced in all types of welding. Monitors will be able to guide open studios that are limited to a single type of welding.

This class is free but please register.

The goal of this and similar workshops is to develop a cadre of Welding Studio Monitors to support the growth of the Welding Studio and facilitate Assisted Studios for Barn Members and participants. 

Safety and Personal Protection Equipment will be provided by BARN.

Participants must wear long sleeve and long pants in natural fibers, closed toe shoes, no stretch fabrics.  Dress warmly, the studio may be cold.
