No instruction is given, but a trained monitor is on hand as you use studio tools and equipment, check out what's going on, talk shop, and hang out. It's maker time for enthusiasts of varying skill levels and interests.

Details

• Registration is required (no drop-ins).
• There are only four spots available to maintain safety protocols. Click "Add to Waitlist" if this fills, and you'll be notified via email if a spot becomes available. 
• You'll be able to work on your project for the first two hours, then clean up your work area during the last half hour.

Prerequisites

• Experience is required on the equipment you plan to use. If you don't have experience or it's been years since you've used your skills, gain the needed experience by attending one our Plasma, Sheet Metal, or Welding classes. 
• If you haven't taken a BARN class but believe you have the skills to work safely in the studio on an independent project, contact metal.programming@bainbridgebarn.org before registering for Open Studio.

Class Policies

• Wear natural-fiber clothing, long pants, long sleeves, and closed-toe shoes (natural fiber or leather). No sandals, stretch fabrics, hoodie ties, or dangling jewelry such as bracelets that can get caught in machinery. Tie back long hair.
• Ages 14 and up are welcome.
