“I love to write, but I hate to sell myself.”
“My publisher wants me to help market my book, and it scares me.”
“Social media and I don’t get along.”

If any of these feel familiar, you’re in good company. Many authors find marketing difficult, stressful, or overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to stay that way.

Book marketing is the work of connecting your book with the readers who will love it. It’s an ongoing process that begins months before publication, carries you through launch day, and continues for as long as your book is in print.

Explore new ways of thinking about your book, yourself, and the marketing process so it feels clearer, simpler, and less intimidating. You’ll learn what marketing looks like at each stage of a book’s life cycle and discover a range of strategies for reaching readers. You’ll also identify which approaches best fit your genre, your goals, and your work–life balance.

You’ll leave with a stronger grasp of how to build a launch plan, connect with bookstore owners, approach social media with intention, and craft an engaging newsletter — along with a better sense of which tools genuinely suit you as an author.
