About

“Writing is easy. You just sit down at a typewriter and open a vein.” – Red Smith

Why is it that writing – or any type of creative expression – is so much easier when you’re daydreaming, or walking in the woods, or not yet fully awake? Then, you sit down at a computer, and poof! Your ideas vanish, you get tongue-tied, or your inner critic rears its ugly head.

In this introductory, interactive workshop, you'll learn how your unique creativity best operates. The answers are already in the creative corners of your brain; we’ll work together to connect the dots in brand-new ways to draw them out. Whether you’re working on a novel (or play, or marketing plan, or any other project that requires creativity), you can get to know our creative process through a series of mind-opening, creativity-unlocking exercises, tips, and tricks.

The class is suitable for all levels of writers, writers-to-be and non-writers. Whether you’re writing your tenth novel or struggling with work emails, you will learn a radically different perspective on how to approach the magic, hidden, and genius corners of your creative brain.
