About

MakeCode Arcade, a web-based coding platform, enables to create your own video games. You can create or customize visual elements like characters and backgrounds, and make decisions about the rules and mechanics of the game – programming everything using beginner-friendly, block-based coding.

You'll be introduced to the coding environment, then start creating a simple point-collecting game, and move on to a side-scroller.

This is an introductory class. You'll learn how to create a simple game and acquire skills to make more in the future. For more artistic-minded students, it's an opportunity to make visually interesting gaming assets and code them to make beautiful, retro-looking games.
