About
Build a playable acoustic Cigar Box Guitar, often called a CBG, in this intensive, four-day class — a blend of traditional lutherie (a craftsperson who builds or repairs string instruments), folk-instrument wisdom, and a bit of whimsy. You'll get to:
- Use power tools to build and shape the neck.
- Use hand tools and a fancy jig to make the fretboard.
- Assemble the neck and then adapt the cigar box to accept the neck and add sound holes and bracing.
- Make a bridge, saddle, and nut.
- Finally, add tuners and strings, and then pluck that first note!
