About

Cut out your own small box on the bandsaw to decorate at a later date.

Once your box is made and the glue is setting, you'll receive a box made by the instructor, and learn to use BARN's woodburning tools, power carvers, and paints to create your own masterpiece to keep or give as a gift! If you prefer to just finish an already made box and not make one, that’s okay! This is a casual, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants, get together to create something and visit with other creatives type of class.

Details

$15 fee is included for materials in the cost of the class.

Class Policies

  • Ages 14 and up are welcome.
  • You must wear safety glasses and closed-toe shoes, tie back long hair, and avoid loose-fitting clothing and jewelry. We recommend bringing your own safety glasses.
Instructor
Ted Newman

Ted studied woodworking and has taught classes at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine. He is active in BARN's woodworker group and volunteers as a safety monitor.
