Open studio time is a collaborative, informal-learning situation where woodworkers of various skill levels share tips and offer a hand when needed. A trained safety monitor is always on duty.

Details:

• Free for members and a $10 drop-in fee for non-members.
• You must be checked out on specific power tools before you use them. Woodshop Tool Safety Checkout 1 covers the major tools and includes an orientation to the shop. Take this before Woodshop Tool Safety Checkout 2, which covers more specialized tools. Check the Woodshop calendar for dates.
• BARN supplies tools and basic shop supplies, such as sandpaper. Participants are expected to bring their own wood, hardware, fasteners, etc.
• Wear safety glasses at all times in the shop. Avoid loose clothing and wear close-toe shoes. Noisy equipment may warrant wearing hearing protection.
