Get checked out on the woodworking shop's major power tools not covered in the Tools 1 safety checkout class. Completing this class will qualify you to use the following tools during open studio time or in classes that have this as a prerequisite:

  • Router and router table
  • Edge sander
  • Stroke sander
  • Laguna wide belt sander
  • Cantak planer

Please dress in the same way you will be expected to do when you use the shop for open studio time. That means:

Wear close-toe shoes.
Bring and wear safety glasses.
Wear hearing protectors when warranted; bring your own or use BARN's.
Tie back long hair. Avoid loose-fitting clothing; roll up sleeves.
