About
Both novice and experienced turners will discover and learn myriad uses of the skew, also known as a skew chisel. This versatile tool has an angled, beveled blade that can make smooth, shearing cuts on a lathe to shape wood and create details.
As you progress through learning peeling, planing, and V-cuts, you'll develop skills to turn beads, shallow coves, and make other shapes for two projects to be completed during class. The benefits of including a skew in your work will become apparent, especially the smoothness of the cuts, efficiency, and time saved sanding.
